Ms. Nilsson, an associate of Brion & Associates, has been working with B&A since 2001. Ms. Nilsson has worked with B&A on numerous fiscal impact studies, child care fee and policy reports, and a variety of other projects related to development and policy. She is involved in all phases of the research, writing, and modeling associated with designated projects. Ms. Nilsson holds a master’s degree in Urban Planning from UCLA.

Brion & Associates collaborates with VWA, Inc. on public policy and urban economic projects. VWA offers in-depth knowledge of affordable housing policies and programs, real estate economics, redevelopment and other economic policy analyses. Our most recent collaborative effort was a property value impact study of a major residential development to be constructed in California. This work was undertaken in order to demonstrate to the Fair Political Practices Commission that the council members—who would vote on the project approvals—could experience the same price impacts from increased traffic, as would at least 10% of the residential property owners in the City.

B&A often teams with CD+A in design and planning efforts to provide economic analysis to determine the appropriate land use type and mix.
